This piece was designed as a countdown graphic for Milligan University’s 2025 “2 Cats + A Herd of Buffalo” Art & Design Showcase.

The purpose of this project was to create a visually striking and memorable design that would be featured on an Instagram campaign in the days leading up to the event, building excitement and engagement among students, faculty, and the surrounding creative community.

When approaching this project, my main priority was to capture attention in a fast-paced social media environment. Because users often scroll quickly through their feeds, the design needed to make an immediate impact.

I created the final piece in Adobe Illustrator, using bright, saturated colors to stand out against the typical Instagram interface and draw the viewer’s eye. These colors and geometric shapes, combined with a playful yet structured layout, reflect the energy and creativity of the showcase itself. My design aimed to not only inform viewers of the upcoming event but also evoke curiosity and enthusiasm, encouraging them to engage with the post and mark their calendars.
